Air Oil Separators

Air Oil Separators

This style eliminates oil aerosols from compressed streams and is suitable for flow from the outside to the inside. These are manufactured using glass fibre elements with a consistent pore size and can be used for the entire range of current versions of screw-type and sliding vane compressors. The standard wrap elements are insensitive to design variations and achieve optimal results in separation efficiency and service life.

This style is used when oil flows from the outside to the inside. These filters are manufactured with several grades of glass fibre filter media wrapped around them and can handle more oil aerosol when compared to the wrapped or pleated versions. They occupy less space and are suitable for all versions of screw-type and sliding vane compressors. The main benefit of these filters is increased airflow capacity while maintaining a low initial pressure drop and residual oil content.

In this style, a filter pleat is added to the media during manufacture. Pleating the filter media increases the media surface area significantly. These filters can handle, on average, twice the airflow compared to a conventional air oil separator using the standard wrapped method, ensuring superior efficiency, longer service life, and consistent performance even under demanding operating and environmental conditions.

Spin-on filters consist of a head mounted directly in-line with the piping and a cartridge containing a filter element. The cartridge seals to the head to prevent leakage. These filters are an effective and economical choice where line pressure is low, and there are no strong pressure surges. These filters are easy to replace without special equipment or tooling.
